  • Booking

    Should I make a booking using a web portal or directly on your website?
    Please always book directly via our hotel website if the price is the same or better.
    This way you can actively support us and the hospitality industry in general and avoid high fees of 15% or more to the booking portals.

    How many rooms can I book online at the same time?
    You can book up to 5 rooms at a time on our website.

    Can I make a group booking?
    Given that group bookings often have individual requirements, we recommend contacting us via our Contact form or by phone.

    What is the Best Price Guarantee?
    You will receive the Best Price Guarantee for any bookings made through www.hotel-amwartturm.de. This means that you have our assurance that you will not find the room on any other website for cheaper.

    Is my booking via www.hotel-amwartturm.de secure?
    Yes, your booking is secure, in particular your credit card information and other personal data. This is guaranteed by using a secure https-Server in which all booking information is SSL encrypted and takes place in a secure environment.

    Which category should I book?
    We have 3 different room categories which are located on the ground floor, first floor and second floor (no elevator). You can also find the perfect room using our room comparison tool.

  • Changes / Cancellations

    How can I change my booking?
    If you have booked directly on our website please write to us or give us a call.

    What is your cancellation policy?
    You will find our cancellation policy on your booking confirmation.

    What should I do if I am unable to travel?
    In this case please contact the hotel immediately. Please take account of our cancellation policy. In general we recommend that you purchase travel insurance in advance of your journey.

    How can I cancel my reservation?
    If you have made your booking using a third party website such as HRS, Expedia or booking.com, please contact the company directly using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation.

    If you have booked directly on our website www.hotel-amwartturm.de then please click here. Enter your booking code and booking number into the contact form. You will subsequently receive an email confirming your cancellation.

    If you have booked directly with us via telephone or email then just write to us or give us a call.

  • Check-in/-out, Reception

    Are there opening hours which I need to observe?
    You can of course access the hotel at any time using your key card. However, access to the reception, for example for checking in, is dependent on our opening hours.

    What are the opening hours for the reception?
    Our reception is open Monday-Friday from 6.30 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday from 7.30 a.m. – 6 p.m. as well on Sundays and public holidays from 7.30 a.m. – 2 p.m. If you are due to arrive outside of these opening hours, please contact the reception. We will then greet you personally or give you a code with which you can access your room key using the key safe.

    Check-In/Check-Out Times
    IYour room is available from 2 p.m. on the day of arrival until 11 a.m. on the day of departure. Should your room be available earlier, you are of course free to use it.
    You can also book a guaranteed early check in time; for €19.90 you can check in from midday. Late check out until 1 p.m. on your day of departure is also available for €19.90 (subject to availability and demand).

    Living Lounge opening hours
    Our living lounge is open from Monday to Sunday until 12 a.m. The bistro kitchen is open Monday to Friday until 8 p.m, Saturday till 6 p.m. The bistro kitchen is closed on some federal public holidays. We would be happy to provide further information before your arrival.

  • Hotel & rooms

    How are the rooms furnished?
    All rooms are furnished with comfortable box-spring beds, air condition, a flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, an ensuite bathroom with shower/WC as well as a writing desk.

    Is there a hairdryer in the room?
    Yes, all rooms are equipped with a hairdryer.

    Is there a telephone in the room?
    Yes, all rooms are equipped with a telephone.

    Are the rooms wheelchair accessible?
    No, we do not have wheelchair accessible rooms.

    Is the bedding suitable for allergy sufferers?
    All beds are equipped with bedding which is suitable for allergy sufferers. If you would like an extra pillow, please mention this at the time of booking.

    Are pets allowed?
    Four-legged friends are welcome (except our allergy rooms). We charge an additional hygienic cleaning fee of €15/night. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead whilst in the building.

    Do you have smoking rooms?
    No, we are a non-smoking hotel. However, a number of rooms have a balcony on which you are permitted to smoke once the balcony door is closed.

    Do the rooms have a minibar?
    Partially – the rooms in our Superior category have a minibar (stocked with mineral water). For those rooms without a minibar, we are happy to offer you a refrigerator in our Hallo-Lounge where you can cool your drinks, snacks or medication.
    In addition, we also have a wide range of cold drinks and light snacks available in our maxibar which is open 24/7. Prices start at €1,50.

    Does the hotel room have a safe?
    Yes, all rooms are equipped with a safe.

    Is there a laundry service?
    Yes. We are happy to provide you with a laundry service. Pricing information will be given to you at the reception.

    Are there rooms with multiple beds/ family rooms?
    We have a number of rooms and apartments suitable for 3 or 4 people as well as a separate family area which can accommodate up to 10 people.

    Are children welcome?
    Children are warmly welcome at the hotel and we have a number of items such as a travel cot and a high chair  available on request.

    Can I get an additional bed/baby bed?
    Yes, an additional bed costs from €20 per night and a baby bed costs €5 per night (available in most rooms comfort category and above).

    Are there discounts for children?
    Yes. Children under 7 years of age can sleep in their parent’s double bed free of charge and receive complimentary breakfast. Children ages 7 to 12 can sleep in their parent’s double bed at a cost of €10 per night. The bigger ones and teens (7-17 years old) sleep in an additional bed at a cost of €20 per night.

    Is there an elevator?
    No, we do not have an elevator. However, if you have walking constraints we would be happy to reserve a room for you on the ground floor.

    Can I store my luggage at the hotel?
    Yes, we have a dedicated locked luggage room which you are free to avail of both before and/or after check in/check out.

    Are there public transport links close to the hotel?
    There is a bus stop (565 route) directly across the road. From here you can travel directly into Speyer town centre. The S-Bahn train station Speyer-Nord-West is located 600m away. The B9 national road is 900m away and access to the A61 motorway is only 1.8 km away.

    Are bicycles available at the hotel?
    Yes. We are able to offer you modern city bikes for rent (on availabilty).

    Do you have air conditioning?
    The breakfast room and all hotel rooms (new as of 2021) is air conditioned. Our apartments are equipped with a strong electric fan or mobile air conditioning.

    How much does internet access cost?
    Our guests can use the internet free of charge. You can register a number of devices simultaneously and have free internet access throughout the whole building.

  • Breakfast

    What does breakfast in the Hotel Am Wartturm cost?
    Our “Fit-in-den-Tag” breakfast costs from €12.50/person (Quick & Early breakfast from €6.90/person). Breakfast is free of charge for children under 7 years of age, children from 7-12 years enjoy their breakfast for only €9.50.

    When is breakfast served?
    Monday-Friday from 6:30-10:00 a.m.
    Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays from 7:30-11:00 a.m.

    Do you have lactose-free and gluten-free products?
    Please inform the reception of your dietary requirements in advance of your arrival. We are happy to cater for your individual requirements.

    Is the breakfast vegan?
    We are happy to provide you with vegan products if you inform us in advance.

    Do I need to book breakfast in advance?
    No, breakfast can still be booked the evening before during our staffed hours. Our breakfast area can seat 34 people. If you are planning on breakfasting together as a group we advise speaking to reception in time in order to make arrangements.

  • Parking

    How much does parking cost?
    Hotel guests can park in our carpark free of charge.

    Does the carpark have security surveillance?
    No. However, the carpark is directly beside the building and is fitted with motion sensors which light up at night.

    Can I reserve a parking space?
    Principally, we do not reserve parking spaces. However, if you require an electric charger we would be happy to reserve a space for you.

    Are there e-charging station available?
    Yes, we offer 2 charging stations provided by chargepoint. Use the chargepoint-app or your favourite roaming partner.

  • Payment

    When do I pay for my stay?
    We require payment upon arrival/check in. We reserve the right to request a deposit for periods of time in which large events are scheduled.

    Will my credit card be automatically debited during the online booking process?
    No, the credit card is verified and merely acts as a guarantee for your booking. Your stay will only be paid for once you arrive at the hotel. For some special offers (such as hot deals) which can be booked online, a deposit of 100% is to be paid at the time of booking. However, these offers are highlighted.

    Can I also book without a credit card?
    Yes, you can also make a non-guaranteed booking without a credit card. However, your room will only be reserved for you until 6 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you are aware in advance that you will be arriving after 6 p.m. please include your credit card details at the time of booking as a guarantee. Your card will not be charged. You are free to choose your preferred payment type on arrival.

    When do I require a credit card to make a booking?
    You will require a credit card in order to make a guaranteed booking. During trade fairs and large events credit card bookings are mandatory. The hotel reserves the right to request a credit card or a deposit for all bookings made from abroad.

    Which forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, China Union Pay. We also accept Maestro, VPay, EC debit cards, PayPal and cash payments in Euro.
